The Directed 1101T keyless bypass module and how it can be used with aftermarket alarms.

With many vehicle owners wanting to upgrade there security it makes sense to review this product. This product is designed with remote start in mind but it could also be used if your wanting to add a remote alarm to your keyless Fiesta ST for example. Some owners don’t like the idea of having an alarm system that works alongside the factory remote, hence them wanting an alarm that works on it’s own. However in most cases this causes a major draw back, when unlocking the vehicle with an aftermarket remote the factory alarm will sound.

With this Directed 1101T a spare key can be installed inside the module and it will be hidden behind the vehicles dash. This device will allow the key to wake up when the unlock signal is sent to the vehicle by an aftermarket remote alarm. This will allow the original alarm / security system to disarm.

The only downside to this method is you will loose a spare key, what does this exactly mean? The spare key supplied with your vehicle is stripped down and it will sit inside this bypass immobiliser box. Once the key is inside you will not be able to access it or use it again. We would always recommend getting another key made for emergancy purposes.
