When it comes to Citroen or Peugeot vehicles many engineers are confused over what car alarm would be best. Due to the advanced electronics they have used for years fitting an analogue alarm is a very involved task which isn’t ideal for this vehicle. We have the diagnostic equipment to program these vehicles to accept the Meta factory approved Thatcham alarm upgrade upto 2017. If your vehicle is made AFTER 2017 we can still fit a Meta alarm system however you will need to go to a main dealer to have the vehicle programmed. Depending on the dealer it will cost between £50-100 in most cases. This is due to them needing to flash the vehicles BSI rather than change a line of coding.
The Meta alarm system we offer works alongside the orignal factory remote key fob meaning locking the doors will arm the alarm and unlocking will disarm the alarm system. This system unlike many others on the market will remain armed / active if someone tries to screw driver the door cylinders. These are normally located in the doors handles in many of the Citroen and Peugeot vehicle range.
This system will protects doors front, side and rear. It will also give interior coverage meaning any movement inside will also trigger the alarm system. The system will sound its full 118db siren which has a full onboard battery back up built in. The vehicles indicators will also flash when the alarm is sounding. The Meta approved alarm also has a programmed emergency 5 digit pin number incase you need to disarm the system if your original remote key ever gets broken, we issue a full Thatcham certifcate on completion meaning you might get an insurance discount when you renew your insurance.
