Excellent condition BMW E46 with a steering angle sensor problem, as such the vehicle had a replacement ( brand new BMW part ) steering angle sensor however once replaced no live data was displayed. And a fault code for an internal module fault was present. As such we proceeded with caution and before carrying out any coding work we confirmed all powers, grounds, can-bus and Lin bus was present at the module before going any further. We used the Pico scope to confirm everything was in order, the Pico allows us to see everything in detail in terms of the communication signals.
Once we was happy with the wiring we programmed the steering angle sensor into the vehicle. Once coding was completed, we then confirmed the live data was being displayed and we went on a test drive to confirm a 100% fix. These problems make car repair garages loose time and money as such our services are very cost effective!
